
Juliana Patiño Quinchía, PMP
Ms. Patiño has over eight years of experience in the construction industry. She has held engineering and consulting positions with several engineering, utility, and consulting firms where she performed project management, program and project reporting, engineering reviews of the civil scope for electric substation facilities and development of proposals for the supervision of infrastructure projects for public and private entities, including high-voltage electric transmission projects.
Ms. Patiño has experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary and international teams in the conception, pre-planning, and budgeting of utility projects for competitive bids of design-build-operation and maintenance contracts.
Working for multinational firms in Europe and South America, Ms. Patiño has been involved in all phases of the construction process including initiation, planning, engineering review, procurement, estimating, bid and award, execution, and project closeout. Additionally, she has analyzed business opportunities for portfolio growth, monitored strategic alliance agreements, performed budget estimations, defined technical specifications for procurement, evaluated bids, provided recommendations for contract award, and performed contract management.
At earlier stages of her career, Ms. Patiño successfully provided technical support to diverse types of construction projects, including new building developments, bridges, roads, and airports. She managed European research projects and implemented innovative construction techniques, such as the use of short steel fiber reinforced concrete and the application of concrete maturity studies to expedite the construction process.
