Ms. Bao has a background in soil biogeochemistry and geomorphology, environmental chemistry, and ecotoxicology. Ms. Bao's research experience includes investigating the impacts of early life exposure to per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) on vaccine responses in early childhood. 

Ms. Bao provides regulatory and technical support for projects related to the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), including the conduct of human health risk assessments, exposure assessments and the preparation of pesticide product regulatory packages. Ms. Bao also provides support for state registrations of pesticides, pesticide devices, soil amendments, and fertilizers.
