Mr. Gois has managed over a thousand projects involving food contact materials compliance verification - including overall migration, specific migration, volatile/semi-volatile NIAS investigations - using varied analytical instrumentation, as well as flavour and taint investigations to assist in the root cause analysis of off-scent/taste issues in food/beverage, providing expert analysis and consulting for food contact material manufacturers, food and beverage producers, and retailers. His work encompasses analytical chemistry, regulatory gap analysis, and quality assurance with particular expertise in testing design for food contact materials compliance.

Mr. Gois' consulting approach combines regulatory requirements assessment, tailored laboratory testing programme design, and dossier preparation to support a wide range of client needs.

Before joining Exponent, Mr. Gois managed a team at Campden BRI where he supported clients with Food Contact Material testing and other food-related due diligence analysis to meet various market requirements. He earned his bachelor's degree in biotechnology from the University of Algarve in Portugal.
