Exponent Increases Quarterly Dividend Payment from $0.21 to $0.26 per Share for Q1 2018

MENLO PARK, Calif., February 1, 2018 — ­­Exponent, Inc. (Nasdaq:EXPO) today announced that its Board of Directors has declared an increased quarterly cash dividend of $0.26 per share of common stock to be paid on March 23, 2018 to all common stockholders of record as of March 2, 2018.

"In 2017, we paid $21.8 million in dividends, continued our share repurchase program and ended the year with $196 million in cash, cash equivalents and short-term investments. We believe that the increase in our regular quarterly dividend payment demonstrates our confidence in the stability of our long-term financial position and our commitment to return value to our shareholders," commented Dr. Paul Johnston, Chief Executive Officer.

Exponent has paid, and expects to continue to pay, quarterly dividends each year in March, June, September and December. Future declarations of quarterly dividends and the establishment of future record and payment dates are subject to the final determination of Exponent's Board of Directors.
