Exponent has been included for the first time in the Global Arbitration Review (GAR) 100 Expert Witness Firms' Power Index, debuting on the list at No. 17. GAR's annual hallmark survey recommends "the most active, sought-after" expert support services worldwide. This year marks the 14th edition of the Power Index, as well as its largest and most diverse group in terms of boutiques, international consultancies, and sector-specific firms.
In addition to the overall ranking of 17, Exponent was highlighted in the No. 6 and No. 7 spots, respectively, for our number of hearings in the energy/oil and gas and construction industries. Exponent was further noted for our ability to supply more than one technical expert per client by "dint of housing a lot of niche expertise." With extensive experience across a range of scientific and engineering disciplines, Exponent's experts perform analyses and offer advisory services for high-profile matters and high-stakes litigation across numerous industries and internationally.
Notably, Exponent's overall value per case was reported at just $201 million because our most significant, large-sum cases "broke" the GAR formula and had to be excluded as statistical outliers. "Exponent's average hearing value is in fact the highest in this year's Index," according to GAR. "Had these US$30 billion and US$60 billion hearings been included, Exponent would have finished far higher."

The GAR rankings are compiled from information provided directly from submitting firms and questionnaires. Each ranking includes the average value of a firm's hearings; total hearings participated in over two years; total "disaggregated" hearings; and reputational clout.
