Ms. Anderson has extensive experience providing scientific and regulatory consulting to the food industry, with a focus on dietary exposure assessments in support of pre-market approvals for food ingredients. She evaluates food consumption data, particularly the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES), to assess nutrient intake and dietary exposure to food ingredients and contaminants across diverse populations. Ms. Anderson supports the development of regulatory submissions such as Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) notifications, Food Additive Petitions, and Color Additive Petitions and has also worked on submissions to international regulatory authorities, including Health Canada, EFSA, and JECFA.
Prior to joining Exponent, Maribeth worked as a researcher at an academic-based community cancer center. She also has experience working at a nutrition technology company, reviewing and expanding their food and ingredient databases.
