Mr. Hakam has over three years of experience in leading electric utilities' construction projects and programs. Mr. Hakam also has experience with site construction and project controls. Mr. Hakam works with a team of project managers and leads meetings to discuss projects' status and key performance indicators.

Mr. Hakam uses various tools to develop and maintain project information into one-pager dashboards that are presented in monthly meetings. Mr. Hakam oversees multiple phases of the project lifecycle, develops and maintains resource-loaded schedules with costs forecasting, coordinates with third-party customers and project team members that include various disciplines.

Mr. Hakam also supports other programs in preparing job estimates, project authorizations and data analysis and transcription for creating a new master tracker for construction and maintenance of electric utility assets.

Prior to joining Exponent, Mr. Hakam received his M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from University of California, Berkeley, to complement his B.Eng. in Civil Engineering from the Lebanese American University. His master's program specialization was engineering and project management. He took courses related to lean construction, advanced project planning, law for engineers, life cycle analysis, and sustainable resource economics.

Mr. Hakam worked as a civil engineer with Vertex Group, Lebanon. His responsibilities included construction site supervision of the rehabilitation of a historical building in northern Lebanon, producing shop drawings and producing weekly and monthly reports submitted to project owners. He also worked as an intern at Midmac Construction Company on a hospital and integrated health center in Doha, Qatar. He assisted the site engineers and planning team by tracking construction progress on assigned sections on the site and updating the construction schedule using Primavera P6.
