The American Society of Mechanical Engineer's ECLIPSE program supports long-term leadership development for early career professionals
Exponent is pleased to announce that Richard Hollenbach, Ph.D., P.E, was chosen as the ASME 2023-2024 ECLIPSE intern for the Standards and Certification Sector. The Early Career Leadership Intern Program to Serve Engineering (ECLIPSE) is a competitive leadership program sponsored by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
"It is an honor to be selected for the ECLIPSE program," said Dr. Hollenbach, an associate in Exponent's Thermal Sciences practice, where his projects have ranged from small R&D analyses to large multibillion-dollar international arbitration cases. "The opportunities I will have to strengthen my leadership skills as part of the program will help me provide the highest level of service to Exponent clients for years to come."
Dr. Hollenbach has been active within ASME as a part of the International Gas Turbine Institute (IGTI), presenting multiple papers at Turbo Expo Conferences. He has served on the aircraft engine, education, and student advisory committees; reviewed draft papers; and received the Turbo Expo Early Career Engineer Awards, as well as the Young Engineer Turbo Expo Program Award.
According to the ASME, the ECLIPSE program is part of a commitment to investing in the careers of high-potential early career members. It promotes and recognizes the value of long-term leadership development and diversity among its members.
