Join Exponent to learn how they're helping PG&E prepare for new "Gas Mega Rule" regulations

In October 2019, the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) introduced significant new regulations to 49 CFR Part 192 pertaining to natural gas pipelines, also known as the "Gas Mega Rule." Section 192.607 is one of the newly introduced Gas Mega Rule regulations that requires the verification of material properties where records are not traceable, verifiable, and complete (TVC).

In this webinar, "Gas Mega Rule: Verifying Unknown Material Properties Using Nondestructive Examination," Exponent engineers discuss these new rules and collaborating with the Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) to develop and implement a materials verification program that addresses §192.607

What you'll learn:

  • Primary NDE technologies used in PG&E's materials verification program
  • Science underpinning NDE technologies, validation, and data interpretation
