Ms. Coates is currently working as part of the REACH team, focusing on the completion and submission of REACH registration dossiers and the provision of in-house knowledge of toxicology. 

Prior to joining Exponent, Ms. Coates worked as a laboratory research assistant in the Genetic Toxicology department at a Contract Research Organisation. Her focus was performing a range of in vitro skin sensitization and toxicity assays. 

She holds a MSc in Toxicology from the University of Birmingham, and a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry from the University of Nottingham. During this time, she worked on the role of histone acetylation in epigenetic mechanisms, as well as a polymer formulations chemistry project.
