A cosmetic/person care regulatory and toxicology professional with over 16 years' experience gained within industry and consultancy; Mrs. Fanning has a proven track record in the area of cosmetic and personal care product safety and regulatory compliance in line with international regulations.

Mrs. Fanning gained her Bachelor of Science in Toxicology and went onto work for a multinational personal care company as a toxicologist where her responsibilities included assessing ingredient toxicology and assuring final product safety for more than 1000 products. Her area of expertise further progressed to include international regulatory compliance (Europe, United Kingdom, Units States and Canada); including artwork assessments, product claim reviews and testing, Product Information Files (PIF), notification (CPNP) whilst developing tools for streamlined internal regulatory policies. 

Subsequently, she worked as a consultant leading the Cosmetic Compliance division for European services including Responsible Person Services, Cosmetic Product Safety Reports (CPSRs), product development, claims substantiation, Production Information File (PIF) compilation and supporting global clients in regulatory compliance. 

Her latter role was Director of Product Regulatory  & Scientific Affairs in another multinational beauty & wellness company, where she successfully set up the International Regulatory & Scientific Affairs function for all new product development, including both food and cosmetic products. Part of her role was also company risk mitigation planning, undesirable effect report management, product development and testing.

Tracey also has firsthand experience in supporting and representing companies on the topic of product compliance during competent authority audits, inspections and resulting issue management, customer and media enquiries, crisis management involving product withdrawals and recalls, regulatory compliance data gap analysis and also implementing regulatory policies throughout a multitude of suppliers and manufacturers.

A fundamental part of Mrs. Fanning's role at Exponent is to offer Regulatory Compliance Services that include Exponents UK and EU Responsible Person service, writing Cosmetic Product Safety Reports (CPSRs), and management of Product Information Files (PIF).  Mrs. Fanning will also provide  audit support in compliance with EU Cosmetic Regulations 1223/2009, as well as providing advice on other aspects of personal care regulatory compliance including claim acceptability and substantiation, New Product Development process and regulatory strategy support or implementation, undesirable event management and product  manufacture process review and incident investigation.
