Chemical Regulation & Food Safety
Harrogate (UK)

Ms Evans specialises in all aspects of regulatory efficacy, contributing to dossiers for plant protection products and providing scientific support and advice to clients in line with National and EU legislation. Prior to joining Exponent, Ms Evans worked for two years with a regulatory consultancy, as a general regulatory consultant working on efficacy and whole dossier compilation for plant protection product and biocide submissions and liaising with regulatory bodies. Prior to that, she worked for over 10 years, with a contract research organisation (CRO) conducting, monitoring and evaluating efficacy and crop cultivar field trials. She has extensive experience using ARM software for efficacy data management.

At Exponent, Ms Evans works in all areas of plant protection product efficacy conducting data gap analyses, advising on and monitoring efficacy study programmes, evaluating data and writing Biological Assessment Dossiers to support new and existing plant protection product registrations. Her practical knowledge of conducting field trials enables her to understand and predict potential problems in efficacy study programmes as well as identify reasons for anomalous results. She also undertakes field trial visits to ensure trials commissioned by Exponent are being conducted to the standards required and any potential issues are addressed.

Ms Evans was a ISO 9001 QMS internal auditor in a previous role working for a CRO, which involved ensuring all appropriate standards were met, including those required for GEP certification. At Exponent she is a designated QMS representative covering the Harrogate, London and Basel offices working to ISO 9001:2015, which is the quality management standard used throughout Exponent.
